I have known Trish for quite a while now and I have admired her photographic art long before I met her.
Trish has an ability of capturing people in such a unique poetic style, that when we started talking about a day in your life session for her and her family …. I was pretty nervous.
It is always quite scary to shoot for another photographer even though it is a privellage to be considered and it's an honour they love your style and your vision.
Before each session we have a planning phone call to understand your needs and your wishes. Then I will send you a questionnaire to better undertsand the dynamic of your family so we can have a cracker day.
For Trish, she wanted me to capture "just the kids in their element and us in the picture swimming in the pool is usually the highlight of their day. Also we can involve the grandparents as they often come to help us."
This is something to consider when booking a 'day in your life style shoot' Who is sharing those times with you? Is it just you and your kids, will your parents be there or is it your in- laws that are often in the picture. Perhaps it's a classic Saturday afternoon park play…. It is Your day in Your life after all!
For Trish we were lucky, the day was a beautiful sunny day, filled with swimming, fishing and lots of laughs, hot chips on the beach soaking up the final rays of sunshine capped off a magical day!.
